Good Day to you all. I would like to thank my fellow corrugators for thinking me capable to serve the association and electing me as the President. I assure you, I will definitely keep up the confidence you have shown in me. Here I would particularly like to thank Mr. A.L.Annamalai for always guiding and motivating each one of us and sharing his vast knowledge of the nuances of our corrugated industry. I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Manohar Shetty for very efficiently bringing to our notice all the legal issues related to taxation even before it is published. And for Mr. T.N. Raghavan, I am sure you all will agree that he is an all-rounder; He keeps track of all the formalities to be fulfilled in time, and is forever willing to give a helping hand to the committee members. I would like to appreciate the young and dynamic KCBMA team;To name a few – Manish Gupta, Amit Agarwal, Manish Bothra, Swarup and Alok Agarwal who take great interest and play an active role in organizing seminars and working towards the betterment of the industry.
I have been associated with KCBMA for more than 20 years now and have enjoyed working and interacting with the senior members who have helped me grow as an individual. It has been a privilege to be a part of the managing committee and handling the responsibilities of a Treasurer, Vice-President and now the President. It has been a long and enjoyable journey with lots of learning experiences in the process.
You all are aware that since the past few years, paper mills have been increasing paper rates quite frequently with/without any valid reason. To face this situation, firstly we must meet with the paper mill officials and have one to one discussion to understand their concerns and request them to price rightly. Secondly, we all should go to our customers without any qualms and bring to their notice the scenario thereby requesting them to give us the right increased price. To handle this situation, I request we form a committee and work out the right costing and arrange seminars with members to make them aware of the scenario and fluctuations in price.
I am sure if we all work as a team, each one of us can grow and eventually climb the success ladder.
To conclude I once again thank you all for electing me President. I hope to measure up to your expectations in strengthening the foundation of our association with the help and cooperation of you all. I will do my best to take the Association to another level and make it a vibrant and dynamic one. I would also like to assure you all that even after my tenure as President I willnevertheless be attached to our association.
